Sweet Snow!

We took Hadley up to Brighton on Saturday to try to snowboard.
Gosh it sure was gorgeous.

This is what Hadley said at the end of the experience.. "Do we have to go home? I wanna stay... Can i take the hill myself?" I think that says it all.......

Come on DUDE! Learn to fall....It will be spring by time you get it......

Ok...finally on the snow and learning the ropes

Waiting to hit the big hillAbout time!

7 1/2 hours.....

Till Vacation!
w00t!
I am off of work all next week (well - I have to come in Wednesday afternoon for EOM).

I will spend most of my time cleaning the house and running errands. Not a vacation per say - but spending time at home with the dogs is always a vacation in my mind.

Then Wednesday evening, the family arrives.. I have lived her 10 years and this is the first visit for my Dad and my brother (he drove me here but left the next day). So, it is a HUGE deal to have my Dad visit.... Hadley was here last year with my sister.

..I am nervous and excited at the same time. Mostly nervous about cooking...

My father says "doesn't matter what we eat or what we do. I just want to spend time with you, Ann..." And..."Is there a motel near by - in case the dogs need a place to stay while I am there?" LOL

I just LOVE my dad!

Our Christmas Card - 1st draft

So I had a Christmas Card made.

But, I think I am going to have a different photo of Maddie put in. I love the coat photo - but she looks so darn serious!

Busy but relaxing weekend

Friday was Halloween and EOM (end of month) at work. So, Friday was crazy and we did not get home till late.

Saturday, woke up early and worked with all the dogs. I then worked a double - 10-7. I had a lot of fun! You meet some really nice people and some that need a little education on their choice of food.

Sunday, we had flyball from 9-12:30. Neeko came and, we have some work to do. She isn't hip on a tug, and on a recall she BLOWS right past me - lol.

Sunday, I had the afternoon to wash bedding and clothes, shop for food, cook the dog food and clean a little.

Billy and I did get a new Christmas decoration - it's a teeter totter! It has Santa on one end and 3 reindeer on the other end. Yes, I wanted the merry-go-round, but it was way too expensive

Sunday, I really wanted to spend time with the dogs and figure out a routine in our home when we are all home. And i sort of did. I thought it was going to be crazy, but it really wasn't. I was relaxing in a way - I know it sounds weird, but it was. Billy and I worked a little more with Maddie and Neeko. They are doing well with each other, behind a gate. The dogs are really all doing well with the new changes. Even this morning, when Miss Maddie got up, she saw Neeko behind the gate and walked up shaking her booty....

Also, on Sunday I got some very exciting news. A dog on our flyball team, Blink, is now the Splash Dog Pro Division World Champ for 2008! It is simply amazing and I am very excited for him and his owner. Blink is an awesome dog whose personality I just love! He is only two years old and this was his first year competing. Can you imagine how much further he will go in the sport??? WAY TO GO BLINKERS!

I found our new item for Christmas this year

Look what K-mart has for Christmas! I am so excited!

I have been looking for a carousel for a while. I would love an older one - one that looks like a carousel you would find at a carnival - with the old decorated horses. But I can't find one.

So guess I will settle......

Random shots

I was cleaning out my camera and here are some shots that were on there

Jinga - The cat that adopted us and our neighbor across the street. He is outdoors (and fixed). He has been going between our homes since 07. He had tags and we both called the number on the tag numerous times, and spoke with the owner. Jinga did not get along with their indoor cat so out he went. We left our phone number with the owner to contact us about what to do. Guy never called back. He is now fed and warmed (Billy built him a little bed and he has boxes with sleeping bags too), which we have been doing since he showed up last fall. We tried again recently to call his owners, and phone number was disconnected. So, we got Jinga a new tag with our phones numbers on it. Every morning, after I let the dogs out, I go into the garage and he is sitting on the steps waiting for his breakfast. He is a very sweet guy.

Halloween lights - stupid camera. I just can't get a decent shot.

Maddie and Zoe - again stupid camera. I even had the flash on!

This one cracks me up!

My devil

I was saving that for a WW, but - it is perfect for today. Zoomies at 5:40 am!

So, this morning, we are up at 5:15. Drag the girls outside to potty (because they decided this week - it's too cold for early am potty for their precious little selves). Separate dogs so they can get thier treats, joint meds, and oatmeal. Feed them. Ahhh. I think - relax for 20 minutes with a good cup of coffee before getting ready to work..

Miss Maddie - the devil has - other ideas. The girl was full of piss and vinegar this morning! Zoomies begin and so does play with the cat. Cat isn't interested so her attention turns to Zoe. Zoe isn't a morning girl - and of course, doesn't want to participate. Back to full swing Zoomies for Miss Maddie. She finally runs out of gas and jumps into bed with her Dad....

Never a boring morning with my little Devil......
