Black Pack Walk

I decided to take the dogs down to the Sandy Gully yesterday. What a beautiful walk!! The water was FLOWING!!
Sneek was very unsure of the cold water..
But once we got to the end, I got in and she followed.
Then she saw the water falls
A little scary at first....


But she then decided it was a huge sprinkler...So, she decided it was really COOL!She was so brave.

Experiment Video

So, I videoed the tug experiment.

If you are interested, you can view what she does in the crate while waiting her turn. I notice she is biting the crate - great.... I will warn you it is 4 minutes long. I still can't figure out how to edit and cut clips out of videos to make them shorter.

And it's best to turn your volume down. There is A LOT of barking going on in the background. I don't tell the others to stop - it's good for distraction and to get her prepared for dogs that bark in a line up.



And here is my tug machine.... We will see if this holds up outside.

In Jake's desperation....

In Jake's desperation , he initiated play with the girls today. He isn't known to play with Maddie or Sneek. He usually wants nothing to do with them.

Since Sneek has been so good lately, I decided to reward her by letting her play in the snow with Jake.

Jake thinks he is so smart playing ring around the shed. Since Sneek and Maddie are on long lines, he knows they can't catch him if he stays in certain areas..

Maddie and Sneek say "PUNK!!!"

Snowing again

It is snowing so hard down here at work.

It took me over an hour to get to work. Once I hit the point of the mountain, it was pretty bad - snowing and the roads in Happy Valley were AWFUL! Thank God, I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle. I told my E how much I love it once I arrived safely to work.

I should have stayed home today - believe me I totally thought about it.

Why stay home? Because my favorite thing to do when it is snowing is go play with the dogs! Jake and Zoe are SNOW MANIACS! Really, the love it so much. While there is snow they will stay out playing forever - I have to drag them in. And the falling snow does not bother them at all. In fact - it seems they are happier playing as the snow is falling. I take the tug to the park - and they go nuts with it. They become tug freaks!

Not sure how Neeko will react to actual snow fall itself - She loves the snow on the ground - but again, how she feels about a heavy wet snow coming down on her - is soon to be revealed.

Maddie - the prissy princess- loves the snow but NOT while it is falling. She will run so fast into the house while it is coming down. I am sure it is just too cold on her thin coat. Even with her coat on during the falling snow, she runs back in.

Shake that healthy butt.... Baby got back!
