Bad Breath Solution for Zoe

Zoe has had horrible breath from the time we adopted her at 8 months (she is now 4) until the past few weeks. We tried EVERYTHING! And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even going raw did not cure her breath. I would limit her kisses due to the smell on her breath . I started her on Prozyme about 1 month ago. I originally bought it for Jake and his "stress squirts" but got him something stronger from the holistic vet. So I decided not to let the Prozyme go to waste and started giving it to Zoe and Miss Maddie. Couldn't hurt right? Guess what?? Zoe no longer has bad breath.! Don't know why the Prozyme would help with the stinky breath but it has. I am now able to let her kiss me !

Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another?

Dear God: We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?

Dear God: Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good dog.

1. I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.

2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.

3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.

4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'.

5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.

6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.

7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying 'hello'.

8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table.

9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur BEFORE entering the house.

10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt.

11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch .

12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing.

Miss Maddie and her Jolly

I just hear her saying "TAKE IT...OK I will drop it...See??? Now will you pick it up??? NO? pause...Ok I bring it right to you...See! I dropped it right in front of you... Now please throw it mom..I always bring it right back right up in your face"

Zoe's First Certificate

Zoe completed her Adult Manners class last night. I took her to brush up on our training and to spend some one on one time with her. We took a class taught by Anna Johnson - http://www.puppenschnoodles.com/

Zoe received a certificate for completion of Adult Manners class. She finally has something to put on the wall - lol

Overall she did ok. We still have issues with wait at the door. I am trying to also do wait with her food bowl. She is doing pretty well with that. But wait at the door - we would get a big fat F!

Her down stay isn't strong. But it is something for us to work on.

She does really well with walking on a leash. And coming right along with her "leave it".

It's actually for Miss Maddie. I used it for Zoe because the puppy energy was too much for her. Zoe is an old lady....LOL

There were two puppies in our class that were absolutely adorable. I sure miss puppy energy. They were Lacie and Roper. They were way too cute!

Puppy photos

I was reading today on PBC a post on puppy photos.

I decided to go look at Jake's album on my pc. He is the only one I have puppy photos of. God he was so cute. His puppy hood was like a master card commercial... Ultimately the experience was priceless. He really is a good dog and I don't give him enough credit. He has.had so much love. His Grammy and Grampy, our next door neighbors at our old house, loved him SO much and always helped out with him.
I think he gets the short end of the stick; well they all sacrafice because we have three dogs. I don't have enough time to really spend the time with them I want. Makes me sad.

Anywho, here are some of my favorite shots. Amazing how young Billy and I look in some of the shots.

I can't wait to get home and give him tons of love and hugs.

Today I received a $20 Amazon gift card for taking a survey from our credit card processor. I will not use it. I would like to send it back to them with the above article. But, I don't know if that is a wise decision since I filled the form out for the use of their software for the business I work for.. I could give it away, but then I am still supporting Amazon.

People can argue some books on dog fighting are needed to learn the history of the breed (APBT). Ok...I see your point...Some argue 1st amendment and others we are requesting a form of censorship.

Personally, well, I want to be able to look myself in the eyes in the mirror. And if I used the gift card, I don't think I could. I don't think I could look Miss Maddie in the eyes either.
